my first Bell Buckle sunrise
My Flashback Friday is to celebrate my siblings, Roderick and Cecelia. My late brother taught me how to be very tough and kind. He was a gentle, tough Southern boy that left us too early at the age of 16. My sister taught me more than words can describe. She taught me how to put one foot in front of the other no matter what life throws at me and to work hard for my dreams. She still leads by example by being kind, loving, forgiving and strong. I believe she is a real life Wonder Woman - the strength and heart she possesses is unmatched.
My Louisiana is in a state of emergency with the worst National Disaster since Hurricane Sandy. Please send prayers, love and donate time, goods or money.
We are not the richest of the States; however, my Louisiana people are remarkable and filled with compassion, grace and optimism. Please help if you can, links:

just love these shots
Dat Cajun Guy's food truck delivers Cajun Louisiana dishes that are cooked to perfection and all served by fun, friendly people. Red beans and rice, po-boys, beignets and as much sweet tea as you can drink - just to name a few. This Louisiana gal was in heaven. Looking forward to more when I return to North Shore.
I love this shot taken by a friend from my hometown. Just love it.
